An office campus has more posts than anyone can watch at once: lobbies, gates, basements and floors, each with a shift that starts before the first tenant arrives.
Hospitals and clinics
A hospital never closes, so its cover has no quiet hour — night shifts, several entrances, and rounds that happen whether or not anyone is there to see them.
Schools and colleges
A campus is busiest at the gate for twenty minutes twice a day and empty for the hours between, and both need someone actually there.
Apartments and residential
In a residential block the residents notice an empty gate before management does, usually at night, and usually after the fact.
